Journey Well Began

The expedition has started. It was a very warm farewell to the team with our GSE chairman Mr. Manjunath shetty joining us in the airport. The team is highly energised which is evident in this picture.

The flight was on time and every one was off as soon as the flight took off. We landed in Doha international airport at 6 am and we realise we only have an hour and half. Met some very interesting people in the airport from Mangalore and had a very nice interaction. The team has taken off.

We are going to Gate 10 in Doha intenational airport to catch our flight QR 7 starting at 8.35.

We initially thought that we would post this from doha international airport itself but the internet was not very supportive.

Landed exactly at 2 pm in London heathrow and surprisingly London was very kind on us. It was bright and sunny and by the time we cleared immigration and came out, Magnus and Nick was waiting for us and we started off straight away to Norwich in an amazing van. It was a pretty long journey with a pit stop to have some burgers in burger king and by the time we reached Norwich it was almost 8 pm. A very long day!!

Rajeev and Mr. Chandrashekar were picked up by hillary king herself, what a kind heart she is. Very nice lady and a wonderful driver. Had an excellent dinner and then off to bed. By the way it is British cold here!. Adding icing to the cream it is raining.

I am currently staying with Rtn. Ms.Janey Bevington & her Partner Mr.Tom Carr. It has been an amazing hospitality. They spent the whole day yesterday to show me the wonderful countryside. We drove all along the coast & was a thrilling experience in freezing temperature to be on the beach; see some wonderful & majestic old Buildings & see that part of the ciity which is becoming a part of the sea- due to Global Warming.
